The Macdonald Notebook, which offers up business, Inside Politics and cultural affairs reporting, turns one year old this weekend.
Over March Break, and for the first time in a year of publishing, I took a brief vacation to rejuvenate the batteries, so this edition of The Macdonald Notebook is a skinnier version. We return next weekend to our normal 12 to 20 stories.
Unfortunately, I did not go to some exotic vacation locale such as Cuba or the British Virgin Islands with their legendary boating.
Instead, I stayed around Halifax, going for lots of coffee chats with close buddies at LF Bakery on Gottingen Street and Tim Hortons.
