In my teens, I was fortunate enough to have a Halifax Herald paper route – I had 100 customers from grade eight to grade 12 – from 1982 to 1986.

I’d wake up at 6 a.m. daily in Antigonish, and finish delivering that day’s Chronicle-Herald by 8 a.m..
