Back in the 1980s and ’90s, top union leader Larry Wark attempted multiple times to unionize the three Michelin plants in Nova Scotia.

The efforts failed and Wark, a former Atlantic representative of the Canadian Auto Workers, says it is now unlikely the plants will ever become a unionized shop.
