From the floor of the Nova Scotia Progressive Conservative leadership race last weekend, veteran politico Billy Joe MacLean predicted Cecil Clarke would take the ballot on the third vote.

But in the end, Clarke came second to winner Tim Houston, leaving his staunchest campaign workers Chad Bowie and Janet Fryday Dory with tears in their eyes.
