Further to my recent suggestions that Merv Russell played a large part in the 2002 hiring of Karen Oldfield as Halifax Port CEO, I hear more political intrigue.

Oldfield was a Tory chief of staff to then-Premier John Hamm when the port’s board, all Liberal supporters of PM Jean Chretien, hired her.
